WEEK 8

WELCOME TO WEEK 8 imma do a quick recap of what happened last week first id like to say wtg bp on taking lpl the distance with a 3-3 tie no other team has given lpl this hard of a time also wtg 8bc and and bnr on wins

Britpool 3-1-3 vs Straightshots 3-1-3
This is gonna be a good match seeing both teams are joking for a higer up standings in play offs but this comes down to how does dj and tons play there respective teams . But here is the big q does dj even show ive been informed dj stepped down this match has to key players james and jon aka leeds united the two big guns on my eyes and if dj does show will he get broke ran for 3rd straight week after going 4-0 but who knows ss has alot of depth but im giving this match to bp
4-2 over ss after there amazing display vs lpl

LPL 6-0-1 vs pdz 1-5-1
not much to say here sorry charles imma say this quick 5-1 lpl there are gonna slam poor pdz with there running and talents skilled snooker players

FREEDOM 2-2-3 VS Bnr 5-2-0
gonna be a tough match for both teams can freedom show and pull off an upset here or will Ross pull the dq bullshit like he has every other week of season but i seem some good depth on freedom now but bnr does have ross and chris and they are good players but does travis ashley and petey bring there a game 4-2 freedom

Sexypoolers 2-3-2 vs Mib 1-5-1
lol both teams are choking it up this season and will sp get a 6-0 win cause mib seeems to have show one week not show next who knows but sp has better players a side from conor but one player cant win it 4-2 sp

8bc 3-3-1 vs Deadstrokes 1-5-1
Seeing steve swtiched to 8bc and they added alot of talent and added a mouthy n00b like trio ill give them it but will ds show and give them a rought time and earn a much needed win to help salvage there shitty season or will they just no show seem to be doing that alot
4-2 8bc

IPA WEEK 7 PREDICTIONS

Britpool 3-1-2 vs LPL 6-0-0
After watching lpl win the pro champion ship coming down from 3-0 vs SS to win the match idl if Bp lead by dj and brandi can upset the power house team but you never know seeing lpl lost steve to bp but will steve play this week if dj hopes to win he will need to bring there a plus players to pull this kind of an upset off knowing lpl lead by cam and the power that lies behind him and they will be firing on all cylinders since winning the pro title.
i predict 4-2 lpl

Straight Shots 3-1-2 vs Freedom 2-2-2
I think this is gonna be an amazing match knowing the talent both teams have But i think SS is gonna be out for blood after this loss to lpl in Pro championship match so its gonna be up to petey trav and ash to pull out some big wins or i see SS walking away with this one but Knowing petey anything is possible guess we will have to wait and see .
i predict 3-3 tie

Mib 1-4-1 vs Pdz 0-5-0
Hmm not to much to say here exspect will mib actually show this week even if they do idk pdz after a close match vs bnr the other week charles loosing to jase or it would of been a tie i like the odd that pdz pull a big win out here .
I Predict 4-2 pdz

BNR 4-2-0 vs Ds 1-4-1
Im gonna say this is gonna be short and sweet i see bnr Destroying ds if they even show sorry ds bnr is just got to much talent for you also looking for ross to be taking the cheap wins like he has every other week.
i predict 5-1 bnr

8BC vs 2-3-1 vs SP 2-2-2
This is gonna be an interesting match seeing both teams have big mouths but when it comes to talent i see sp having more depth then 8bc but i dont see this matching being a blow cause 8bc does have some good players.
I predict 3-3 tie

IPA Season 5 Week 6 Predictions

I would like to start off by thanking Mr. Know It All and Mr. Predictor for filling in for me while I was away on vacation, Job well done gentlemen, last week we saw BP take down MIB 4-2 in what can only be described as a tribute to Cubby and PFN as they took a DQ win for a player not having the correct name on ladder at the time of being called which was changed a minute later, LPL handed a goose egg to 8BC as they ran over them 6-0, FR picked up a 6-0 win over a DS no show and BNR picked up a 4-2 win over PDZ as Charles made a crucial mistake in game 6 giving it to Jase who is back with BNR in IPA, and SS narrowly squeaked out a 4-2 win over SP. Now onto this week’s predictions.

Britpool [3-1-1] vs. Freedom [2-2-1]
So is it BP or is it PFN2 as I mentioned above BP took the 4-2 win in a tribute to Cubby and PFN, I have a feeling that DJ didn’t act alone in this disgrace of a DQ as Drew had to be pissed off with his pathetic game, I think BP would be better off keeping Drew on the bench so he can stick to being an admin as it’s the only thing he is good at, DJ taking the win regardless of the influence from Drew or not was just a sad thing to watch as BP a once sporting side has turned to cheap tactics just to get a win. Will PFN2 show up this week against FR or will it be the BP side we all know and love, seeing as its against FR and the friendship Petey and Drew have I expect to see the sporting side of BP out this week as Drew and Petey have never been tempted to even take a cheap win off the opposing team. FR have been very rocky this season as their 2 wins have come from a bye and a DS no show and a lucky shorthanded draw vs. a weak SP side and with both their losses being dominate with a 1-5 vs. both MIB and LPL we haven’t really had a chance to see what FR is capable of this season but this week they will no doubt need a full team in order to compete with a interesting BP side, BP has showed shorthanded once and still managed to pick up a 4-2 win so you know when their players are on form they are a force to be reckoned with and not knowing what to expect from an FR side who has had a slow start to this season I have to give this one to BP in what may be a game 6 decider.
4-2 BP

Latino Pool Legends [5-0-0] vs. Money in the Bank [1-3-1]
If LPL keep up their winning ways they will no doubt be the IPA Season 5 champions as my rival the oracle is already referring to them as, the likes of Steve, Daru, Ant and Tino are almost a sure win any given week giving LPL everything they need and them some to steamroll over any team they come up against, this week they play an MIB side that seems to have slipped into the same routine as we have come to expect not winning a match since they crushed FR in week 1 and things aren’t getting any better for them this week, Rich along with the other MIB players have some talent and heart but that will only get you so far amongst the teams here in IPA, I can seem MIB getting a little luckier here then 8BC did last week although Nigel claims it very easily could have been a 3-3 draw, sorry Nigel but when you’re facing LPL nothing is ever easy and they will prove that once again this week as they storm over MIB.
5-1 LPL

Deadstrokes [1-4-0] vs. Straight Shots [3-1-1]
DS no showed last week giving freedom their 2nd easy 6-0 win and with talks of DS withdrawing from IPA I doubt they will show this week either, so who will replace DS if they do in fact withdraw, I don’t even know as I’ve yet to hear anything from the rumor mill other than that TC is interested in coming back to IPA but it seems the surge of activity they had after mike left as admin has come to a screeching halt with his return TC is looking like a ghost town once again so with no probable replacements let’s hope DS show this week and give SS a challenge rather than the probable free win.
6-0 SS

Pool Dragonz [0-5-0] vs. 8 Ball Crushers [2-3-0]
PDZ could of very easily got their 1st set of points on the board last week with a 3-3 draw but a crucial mistake by Charles near the end of game 6 gave the game right back to BNR for them to take it 4-2. I have to quote Nigel here from his post in the IPA forum “Much closer than the score suggests (predictors take note!) Ever seen a match when NOTHING goes right for one team? ^ This was it.... could so easily have been 3-3 with just a slither of fortune for 8BC... oh well lol :)” well the fact is its Yahoo Pool and a game can change with one shot such as Charles vs. Jase in game 6 last week were it was indeed one shot that cost PDZ the points, don’t get me wrong 8BC have some quality players but there is never an easy anything in yahoo pool and I think PDZ will prove that again this week in a shocking upset as they put their 1st points on the board and a full 4 at that.
4-2 PDZ (it’s been awhile so maybe I’m off my rocker but gooooooooo underdogs)

Sexy Poolerz [2-1-2] vs. Break and Run [3-2-1]
Here we have what we thought would be 2 of the top contending teams going against each other in a must win situation if they want a chance at getting back near the top, with what looks like LPL having the #1 spot all locked up the main thing to be playing for is that #2 seed and a 1st round bye in the playoffs and that’s what all teams will be hoping for other then LPL of course, The oracle claims that SP took a “Cubby” win by dqing a player who wasn’t on the IPA ladder but the reality of it is, RULES ARE RULES AND IT’S THE CAPTAINS RESPONSIBILITY TO CHECK, SS failed to make sure their player was elig to play last week and SP caught the fact that the player wasn’t signed up, this is a prime example of captains doing their job now whether it was Adam or Pete who caught this I’m not sure but a job well done on living up to your captains duties, you won’t be getting any dq wins this week for that reason unless Josh shows up again and still isn’t on the ladder but seeing as that is highly unlikely and BNR looking to push their way to the top I see this going their way as SP haven’t been able to put together a solid run so far this season
4-2 BNR

Week 5 Predictions

Hello everyone, this is one of the once-and-a-while moments I said I would have when I left PA predictions. Last week we saw a shorthanded-cellar dwelling Freedom snatch a point of the top-tier Sexy Poolerz squad. Brit Pool were able to squeeze out a 4-2 win over DS, while LPL thumped BNR and SS avenged that ugly loss to PDZ seasons ago by welcoming them back to IPA with a goose egg, non scrambled.

Money in the Bank [1-2-1] vs Brit Pool [2-1-1]

On the surface this looks like a routine match for Brit Pool, but while the numbers don’t go in MIBs favor, it doesn’t mean it will be a walk in the park for DJ & co. MIB have the talent to squeak out enough points to grab a top 6 spot, and they’ll need to grab those against hit-or-miss teams like BP. BP were able to beat DS last week in a good match, and will need the same type of effort and then some to get past MIB this week. MIB may have had a rough week last week losing to 8bc, but I think Rich brings a full team and keeps this close.

Prediction – 4-2 Brit Pool

Freedom [1-2-1] vs Dead Strokes [1-3-0]

Sure Freedom is back in contention at 6 points, but with 4 of those being free, is that tie a fluke against a inconsistent Sexy Poolerz squad? Freedom have always had trouble with DS and with DS looking like a cellar dwelling team this season, this is Freedoms “break-through” week if they look to become a contender once again in IPA, but a win here for DS puts Freedom in a hole and have DS looking up. DS players as a whole seem to be slumping, and with the recent addition of Travis, Freedom should be able to take this quickly.

Prediction – 4-2 Freedom

8 Ball Crushers [2-2-0] vs Latino Pool Legends [4-0-0]

Ifran, Jan, Nigel, Andy and Sean are all solid players who can compete against LPL, the rest? Not so much. Nigel will need to get it through his noggin that he needs to play here and not give someone “a chance”, because Ant eats “chance” for breakfast and shits it out before he plays a game. LPL have become unbelievably solid under Steve. With Luiz returning to pool not that long ago, Ant coming back from his like 2 week long vacation, and the additions of Andy and Sid to the IPA roster, LPL is disgustingly deep. Beating LPL is possible don’t get me wrong, but doing so is tough. If Nigel is able to get those 5 to the table, he’ll need to play for a tie because reaching for the stars will only allow LPL to come down, sucker punch you and leave you on your back, looking up at the very same stars you thought you were once close too.

Prediction – 4-2 Latino Pool Legends

Sexy Poolerz [2-0-2] vs Straight Shots [2-1-1]

After grabbing points by only having more players then the other team, Pete & co will need to bring their A game against a red hot SS squad. SP has really picked up in activity, and it shows in TNT where they have been the hottest team in the past month, though, that is largely due to the fact SS is out and many of their players have gone to SP, so there may be some familiarity for both sides here. With both sides being 16-8 overall with only a difference of 2 in points, both teams are capable of a big showing and since it’s really hard to predict which kind of SP will show, the safe card will have to be played..

Prediction – 3-3

Break and Run [2-2-0] vs Pool Dragonz [0-4-0]

After a good start, BNR ran into the wall in every ones road known as Latino Pool Legends. Everyone plays them, so it’s nothing to get caught up in, but the fact BNR were once consistently beating such a squad, their recent fall in talent has dropped them from being a favorite, to a team that can, and will win more games than they lose, but it seems it may not be enough anymore. Luckily for them they play PDZ a team they should be able to defeat easily. Charles leads his reborn league back and while they were thumped by SS, BNR shouldn’t take them lightly. Charles is good for a win more often than not and depending on how luck plays out, PDZ may be able to win just enough for some points, but doing so against the likes of Chris, Mike and Jordy can turn out to be too tough.

Prediction – 4-2 Break and Run
